(February 26th) Just when you thought that the rain was over and the weather was getting better . . . a serous storm is forecast for late this week into the weekend. Keep an eye on local radio and watch the tide heights starting Thursday.    Predicted moderate coastal flooding is a problem for many of us on the west side of town. Still a few days out and things can change but as massive as this storm is we will be getting something. So far no Emergency Manager Briefings from the NWS.    Here is what they posted on their Facebook Page : “Good Monday morning NWS Mt Holly FB followers and visitors to NJ DE e PA e MD. Updating last evenings post. Dry & mild today through Wednesday. A powerful storm develops along the Mid Atlantic coast late Thurs and Fri, then heads seaward next weekend. Coastal flooding continues to be the primary risk and is likely for multiple and probably successive high tide cycles from Thu evening into Sunday morning. Potential exists for at least moderate coastal flooding Friday or Saturday, especially the NJ Atlantic coast. The first periodic gale since Feb 5, will affect Atlantic coast mariners late Thurs or more Likely Fri into Sat morning, with northeast swells of at least 10 feet possible late Friday through the weekend. Small stream flooding might be a problem in parts of PA and NJ, as may a little elevation snow near and north of Interstate 80 BUT, there is less certainty on rainfall-flooding & snow chances. We’ve appended graphics showing the last 3 days of rain, the monthly departure from normal, the forecast for Friday both rainfall, and chance of elevation 2″ snow. This post will update around 5PM this afternoon.”    The National Weather Service Mt.
