Hurricane Jose  Briefing –  The National Weather Service’s latest briefing has been posted earlier this morning and it is available from the link labeled “NWS Emergency Manager Briefing” on the left hand side of the Ready Page.    REMEMBER the briefing is for the entire NWS Office coverage area so please read it carefully. Remember you also have to consult the local weather forecast which will have specific information for our area. (click on left hand side link “NWS Weather for North Wildwood”)  Our area can expect significant beach erosion with high surf, windy conditions along the coast, and minor coastal flooding Monday night and Tuesday Morning and the possibility of moderate flooding Tuesday night. High tides are Monday at 7:31PM, Tuesday 8:00AM and 8:17PM. Rainfall could total between 1 and two inches from Monday thru Wednesday with the heaviest Tuesday Afternoon through the evening hours. NWOEM is monitoring the tide heights and will send out Code Red messages and activate the flood sirens accordingly.
