The latest updates for this weekends storm is turning the event more into a flood event. The Tropical Storm will stall off the coast of New Jersey from late Saturday into Tuesday. During each high tide less water will go out and the next tides will get progressively higher. Tides on Saturday are predicted to be Minor which will flood Delaware Avenue and side streets up to New York. Sunday the tides are considered Moderate and flooding will increase to New Avenue and up to New Jersey on the side streets. The highest tides are supposed to be in the area of eight and half feet which would cover portions on New Jersey Avenue and put water in some of the 100 block East curb areas. Everyone is urged to take all precautions to protect their property such as securing lawn chairs, trash cans, and other loose property that may become a projectile in high winds. You should plan on moving your vehicle well before the high tide starts rising as finding a parking spot in the higher section of town with everyone else moving their vehicles may be close to impossible. Like most storm events this too has a lot of uncertainty and things can change so it is important to keep up on the weather by listening to local radio and television stations.  The NWS latest updates are available for all to read and can be obtained by following the link on this page (left hand column marked NWS EMERGENCY MANAGERS BRIEFING) or if you subscribed to the updates of this page and are reading this in an email follow this link.
